What is Distribution:
Distribution is the action and effect of distributing. By distributing it is understood to distribute a thing in the proportion that corresponds to each part.
The word distribution has its origin in the Latin expression distribution which means "to distribute". In turn, the term is formed by the particles dis, which means "multiple separation" and tributum, which means "tribute".
Distribution is a word that has use in many fields, such as economics, architecture, mechanics, science, etc., according to which your intention changes.
Distribution in economics
The word distribution has many uses in economics. We speak of distribution or distribution of products to refer to the merchandise distribution service throughout the marketing territory. Example: "First thing in the morning the transports should start distributing the newspaper."
It can also refer to the distribution of income, referring to the way in which material resources are distributed among different socioeconomic sectors. For example: "In recent years there has been a deterioration in the distribution of income among the least favored sectors of the country."
Distribution in architecture
It refers to the distribution of architectural space, that is, to the way in which the space must be developed so that each of its parts fulfills a certain function within the design. Example: "The distribution of the rooms in the house allows good air circulation."
Automotive mechanics distribution
Refers to a mechanism that controls the flow of certain gases in the cylinder. Example: "This car's distribution system has broken down."
In computing, we speak of software distribution to refer to a set of previously compiled and configured software. For example, it can refer to software licenses as well as executable files (.exe) and free software.
