As research in the health area expanded, pharmacology appeared, a science that studies the properties and effects of chemical substances for the treatment or prevention of diseases, pain relief, among others.

Medicines are composed of a pharmaceutical form in which the active principles and excipients that comprise it are presented, in order to facilitate their use and administration. The active principles are the drugs and the excipients are the inactive pharmacological material.

All drugs must comply with a series of legal regulations and be approved by the public entities of each country, previously established by the ministries of health or sanitation.

It is also important that the patient, before starting a treatment, consult with their treating doctor or trusted pharmacist when certain medications should be used and how their proper intake should be.
