Meaning of Industrial Safety
What is Industrial Security:
Industrial safety is concerned with the prevention and protection of accidents at work, also avoiding damage to the property, process and environment of the institution or company.
Industrial safety is implemented as a system of mandatory standards regarding the risks of any industrial activity such as, for example:
- The use, operation and maintenance of the facilities or equipment,
- The production, use and consumption within the facilities, and
- The activity of storing and disposing of industrial products.
Industrial safety studies the risks to which workers are exposed in order to create, suggest and implement hygiene and safety policies and standards that minimize workplace accidents.
The area of industrial safety is, generally, in charge of an industrial engineer because he belongs to the group of performance optimization strategies. The safety supervisor must control and monitor compliance with the regulations of the products and facilities.
